North American Missions

Mission Focus: Easter (March-April)

Annie Armstrong

Annie Armstrong worked with women during the late 1800’s. She encouraged the churches to support her work. She led in starting the Woman’s Missionary Union as part of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Alaska State Missions

Mission Focus: August - September

Valeria Sherard

Valeria Sherard was a teacher in Mississippi after earning her college degree. She answered the Lord’s call and came across the state working with different Native groups.

Supporting the work of the North American Missions Board (NAMB) and the International Mission Board (IMB).

Lottie Moon

Please say to the new missionaries that they are coming to a life of hardship, responsibility and constant self-denial. They must lice, the greater part of the rime in Chinese houses, in close contact with the people. They will be alone in the interior and will need to be strong and courageous. If the joy of the Lord be their strength, the blessedness of the work will more than compensate for its hardships.
